Fashion: Grammys 2014 Best Dressed

Here I have picked the Best Dressed from the Grammys as well as after parties and pre-Grammy events related to the musical night. There was a pretty decent mix of styles and a few people appear on the list more than once!

  • Iggy Azalea wore a white Elie Saab dress dress paired with neutral make up and slicked back blonde hair, she added a pop of colour with the red nails
  • Taylor Swift performed 'All Too Well' on the night and wowed everybody with her insane talent, she also stunned visually in an beautiful Alberta Feretti dress which suited her dreamy, whimsical appeal
  • Anna Faris looked gorgeous in a navy blue Fitriani dress and Sutra jewelery, I love the deep blue against her pale skin and blonde hair.
  • Pink was another in a strapless number, she wore a red Johanna Johnson dress paired with Brian Atwood shoes and Neil Lane jewels. Love the shiny silver hair and metallic make up too
  • Bonnie McKee was perfectly striking in a mermaid tale blue gown by Memeka for Gustavo Cadile with her quirky red clutch and matching red ombre hair. I love how she made her kooky style look chic and formal
  • Kelly Osborne channeled her inner gothic goddess in a black Badgley Misckha dress with some serious embellishment on the shoulder and sleek lilac bob
  • Giuliana Rancic was there for E! in a bright orange Alex Perry dress which was radiant against her tan skin and brunette locks, white detailing and mesh insert added some intrigue.
  • Taylor Swift is back on the list in a sparkling Gucci dress with the fitted shape, soft silver make up and swept ponytail it was all very Taylor but lovely nonetheless
  • Holland Roden wore a gorgeous purple Basler dress paired with metallic silver Stuart Weitzman stilettos, Holland always look flawless and the Grammys just cemented my opinion that she is one of the best dressed ladies out there.
  • This was my favourite ensemble from Katy Perry, she wore a deep red Valentino Couture prom style dress with Christian Louboutin shoes
  • Miley Cyrus looked ever so pretty in a silk Calvin Klein slip like mini with a pink coat from the same designer and simple sandals and an adorable Chanel no5 bottle bag
  • Rita Ora wore a metallic green Lanvin number, who would have thought tha would ever work? Paired with simple sandals and some serious ring bling. I love the light hair, dark eyes and tan skin on Rita, it's so striking.
Best dressed from this event for me goes to Taylor Swift in her performing outfit, that Alberta Feretti dress is simply breath-taking, love the golden waves too. She is closely followed by Katy Perry in Valentino.

Fashion: SAG Awards 2014 Best Dressed

I have been rather busy this past weekend so this post took me a while to write up but here is the best dressed from the SAG Awards! Enjoy!

  • Kaley Cuoco seems to be to much better then usual on the red carpet, this dove grey strapless number by Vera Wang showed off sleek silhouette. Loved her midnight  blue smokey eyes and soft waves too
  • Gretchen Mol truly stood out for me in a white J Mendel dress with matching J Mendel heels, I love this dress and think the mesh body adds edge to the innocent white
  • Anna Gunn looked stunning in a sparkling blue Monique Lhuillier with wonderfully matching earrings and a simple box clutch
  • James Marsden looked deliciously dapper in Valentino and we all know how much I love a blue suit, whatever the shade

  • Amy Adams was absolutely breathtaking as she channeled old school Hollywood glamour in a blue Antonio Beradi dress. The quirky neckline of the dress and the shoulder detailing offered a modern take on the classic style.
  • Jennifer Lawrence looked the best she has in a long time in, shock shock horror, Christian Dior Couture. I adore this sparkling dress it's so glam and J-Law makes it cool
  • Sandra Bullock wore a shimmering emerald green draped Lanvin dress with metallic Jimmy Choo heels. Messy up do and shimmery make up finish off the look
  • Claire Danes honestly 'wowed' me this shimmering, deep blue Vionnet dress with an overlay and matching smokey indigo make up, love this new golden brown hair on her too
  • The beautiful Sophie Turner wore a black Dolce & Gabbana dress with a thick nude wasitband and pretty clutch. Her long copper waves swept to one side  and David Morris jewelry finishe off the glamorous styling.
  • Look at Arya Stark all grown up! Maisie Williams wore a beautifully simple white Issa dress with red lips and side swept her long brown hair
  • Lupita Nyong'o can simply do no wrong. This time around she wore a bright turquoise Gucci dress with some fabulous flowering neckline embellishment and matching make up
  • Cate Blanchett wore a pale pink Givenchy dress with interesting bubblegum shimmering detailing and matching pink make up, suited her pale skin and blonde hair beautifully
Best Dressed for this event goes to Amy Adams, closely followed by Lupita Nyong'o. But for my Amy truly blew me away, everything about the look is simple perfection.

Fashion: Golden Globes 2014 Best Dressed

It was The Golden Globes last night, I didn't realize to the evening that it was all kicking off! I have selected top 12 from the red carpet and another four from after parties.
I feel like it shows us what is ti come and 2014 offered some beautiful colours, shapes and styles.
Check out my top 12 and added 4 below:

  • I've never been a fan of Michelle Dockery's red carpet style as I often think it's a little conservative but I loved the muted colour of this Oscar de la Renta dress and the sparkling embellishment gave it a modern princess feel.
  • Amber Heard was radiant in a midnight blue gown
  • Margot Robbie is back on my best dressed list in a beautiful cream Gucci number, I cannot love the bottle green detailing and matching shoes more, such a beautiful colour.
  • I have no doubt Lupita Nyongo' will be loved by everybody in this red caped Ralph Lauren number although she lacked accessories and detailing the originality of the dress was enough.
  • I am so in love with the choice of colours from this Oscar de la Renta number, it's a refreshing look on the red carpet and I think it suits Aubrey O'Plaza'a hair and skin tone.
  • You can this is Dolce and Gobanna just by looking at it, Leslie Mann rocked the black lace peplum number with polished hair and a gold box clutch
  • This deep red hue looks beautiful on Ariel Winter and I think the shape, drapery and generally design of the Mikael D dress is really quite stunning
  • Kata Mara was a bundle of silver perfection, I recently watched Frozen and her looks is rather reminiscence on Elsa! Kate Mara in J Mendel
  • Uma Thurman was radiant in a sparkling black halter Atelier Versace design
  • Laura Dern always WOWS on the red carpet, I think so anyway, and this time was no different. I loved the coffee coloured Roberto Cavalli gown with the plunging neckline and her curled copper hair
  • Kaley Cucuo
  • I loved the girl of Maria Menounos bubblegum pink Max Azria Atelier dress and the mesh zig zag insert is a flirty enough detailing to not make it too sickly
  • Hailee Steinfeld has serious red carpet game. She wore a beautiful black Andre Gn dress, I truly love the gold bird print and the sheer hem. Didn't I say she was one to watch?
  • Nikki Reed wore a vibrant aqua Monique Lhuillier strapless dress with matching heels and slicked back hair, she looks like a perfect little mermaid here!
  • Lady GaGa was looking rather demure in a gold embellished, shimmering Perry Meek asymmetric dress and 7 inch platforms, I love this look on her although it is a tad Donatella Versace...
  • Nina Dobrev just continues to look absolutely amazing! She wore a gorgeous black Giorgio Armani knee length dress which had some beautiful diamond detail, paired with simple sandals and chocolate waves
My best dressed overall goes to Kate Mara. Yes she was my best dressed of December too but this girl look beautiful. The light hair and pale skin are absolutely radiant against the liquid-like silver of the gown.

Fashion: December 2013 Best Dressed

Ah, how had I completely forgotten about December? The last best dressed post of 2013! I wish I had managed to complete this by 31st and not totally missed it but, oh well, better late then never.

  • Naomie Harris stunned in Alexander McQueen at The Long Walk Royal premiere, even if it was just a simple column dress she would have look wonderful but the detailing adds some cool edge
  • SOme found this look a little 'cartoony' but I adored Pixie Lott's sugary pink Moschino outfit from Fashion Fringe 10th Anniversary
  • Nicole Richie made me long for L.A weather and showed how to be cool and comfortable in this blue and white Pucci outfit, love the cat eye sunglasses too
  • Rooney Mara was breath-taking in white Lanvin at the Oxfam Charity Gala, in true Rooney Mara style she kept her hair and make up rather goth

  • One of my favourite angels, Candice Swanepoel looked beautiful in an ox-blood coloured lace mini by Lover at Extra! in L.A
  • Julia Roberts wore a lovely indigo dress by Proenza Schouler, she matched her shoes perfectly as she attended the New York premiere of August: Osage County
  • The other Mara sister was beaitiful in J.Mendel for the LA premiere of Her, the dress is quirky but still pretty and those Charlotte Olympia heels! ADORE.
  • Margot Robbie was another in a sleek white dress, her was Armani Privè as she supported her film The Wolf Of Wall Street at the New York Premiere. Will be keeping an eye on this one

  • Nicola Peltz attended the The Wolf Of Wall Street New York premiere also but she wore a liquid silver Saint Laurent dress with matching Mary Jane platforms and silver eye make up. Minimal accessories and her soft blonde waves were perfect styling
  • The queen of bling, Jennifer Lopez, wore shimmering pink ensemble at American Idol taping in Hollywood. I love how she completely rocks the Kate Spade and Alexander Wang outfit, how many people can pull of rose-gold from head to toe?
  • I had a couple of outfits to pick from when it came to Laura Vandervroot but this bright orange Raoul gown with the statement clutch and slicked back hair was my favourite.
  • The teen superstar is back on my list as she continues to wow. Kiernan Shipka has the pretty princess look down to a T In RED Valentino  at the Justin Bieber’s Believe LA Premiere. Plus I love how the mesh from the dress matches the shoes.

Best dressed this week goes to Kate Mara. I quite like the new blonde hair on her and the green dress is the perfect little number for Spring (not long now) and plus she's wearing Charlotte Olympia so....

Fashion: Peoples Choice Best Dressed 2014

It was the Peoples Choice Awards recently and two of my favourite girlies presented it; Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs from 2 Broke Girls. A whole host of celebrities attended the event and many looks rather dashing, check out my Best Dressed below.

  • Nina Dobrev is always a winner on the Red Carpet, she wore a dazzling embellished Jenny Packham with silver metallic sandals that I adored. Nina always wears amazing footwear
  • Anna Faris made her debut on my Best Dressed in this sparkling two piece by Naeem Khan with Jimmy Choo heels, she looks like a little snowflake in the glittery number and her blonde hair!
  • Jennifer Hudson wowed me in this white Kaufmanfranco number, the simplicity of the styling is pure perfection, the simple heels, cropped hair and hot pink lips work wonderfully.
  • Britney Spears was looking as adorable as ever in a sheer Mikael D mini, nude pumps, smokey eyes and her trademark bright blonde hair completed the All-American Girl look

  •  Adelaide Kane looked younger then her 23 years in this pretty white Rhea Costa dress, I really love white and I think she did well to keep all of the accessories simple with a pop of colour from the clutch
  • I loved Rocsi Diaz' summery ensemble, from the colours and print of the Nicole Miller dress to the vibrancy of her heels she totally rocks this look for me and makes me excited about Summer!
  • Greer Grammar wore a romantic nude and gold brocade design from Mikael D but it is a completely different look to Britney's. Far more princess like and age appropriate.
  • This was my favourite look from Beth Behrs (although she looked continuously gorgeous) This paritcular outfit is a sparkling Kate Spade dress with a pair of amazing silver courts and soft blonde waves.

  • Kat Dennings wore a stunning purple peplum Oliver Tolentino Couture dress that showed off her enviable figure and looked radiant against her pale skin, light eyes and dark hair
  • Sandra Bullock was another who wore some seriously summery colours, her dress was by Peter Pilotto and the shoes were Kurt Geiger, for some it was too much but I think it worked brilliantly.
  • Bailee Madison (keep an eye out for her) wore a delightful red dress by Charles Henry and paired with quirky black pumps, a cute up do and barely there make up suited the teenager down to a T
  • Sarah Michelle Gellar wore a Grecian inspired monochrome dress by Sachin + Babi. It is a fairly simple look but I think Sarah looks beautiful, soft chignon, dark make up and black heels completed the outfit.

My sister totally called it, best dressed goes to Kat Dennings. I am sorry but she is pure perfection, the colour and the shape of the dress is wonderful on her and her styling and beauty is too fabulous for words.

Fashion: ASOS Bans Angora

ASOS joins Next and H&M to ban the use of Angora in their products
One of the most successful online fashion retailers, ASOS (previously known to be As Seen On Screen) joins many other high street shops and bans the use of Angora after PETA reveals horrifying footage.
The famous fashion powerhouse has been running since 1999 and over the past fifteen years has become one of the most popular websites for celebrity inspired and on-trend fashion. Not only do they sell clothing, shoes, beauty and accessories designed by the ASOS team but they also support other high street companies such as New Look, Motel and River Island by also stocking their products.
Now as we roll into 2014, ASOS will be having a positive effect on their customers and their subsidiaries as they remove any Angora based products from all international sites.  It came after PETA showed a graphic and sickening video of the Angora material being obtained in China.
Please be advised that you may find the following upsetting.
An investigator for PETA visited China and discovered that there are no rules or standards to follow or abide by, not only that but there is no punishment for the mistreatment of the animals. They are kept in cramped and dirty cages and lay motionless and alone after they have had their fur ripped from their little bodies.
Support ASOS and their decision by heading over to their website and buying products from a company who does not agree with the torture of rabbits. Even better, check out the website of PETA to find out ways in which you can help make the world safer for animals.

Footage from the Angora farms in China is available here
