Life: Disney University Art

I love anything slightly inspired by Disney and when I came across these on Tumblr I was oh so very excited! I headed straight over to Deviant Art to check out the entire collection.
Although there are a few characters missing that I would love to see (Megara, Prince Naveen, The Lost Boys) this is such an awesome idea that I can use my imagination!
From Eric as a surfer and a skate-boarding Jim to a cheerleading Tinkerbell and dancer Mulan he has created a set of real cool modern images of our classic Disney characters.
(Might I add I am totally crushing on Tarzan! Kovu a little bit too.....Although he is based on a lion...)

L-R: Adam and Belle (Beauty and the Beast) Ariel and Eric (The Little Mermaid) Tinkerbell and Peter (Peter Pan) Tarzan (Tarzan) and Kovu (The Lion King 2)

L-R: Shang and Mulan (Mulan) Jasmine and Aladdin (Aladdin) Penny (The Rescuers) Jim (Treasure Planet) Hercules (Hercules) and Alice (Alice in Wonderland)

L-R: Taran (The Black Cauldron) Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) Milo (Atlantis) Esmeralda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) Cinderella (Cinderella) Arthur (The Sword in the Stone) Kenai and Pocahontas (Pocahontas)

L-R: David (Lilo and Stitch) Snow (Snow White) and Tiana (Princess and the Frog)

If you check out his DeviantArt page here you can see that has even created a little bit about the characters (what they study, who they are friends with etc) it is super cute! From what I have seen he will be creating villains as teachers soon!! Love this idea.
Keep up the good work :D

Fashion: Icon- The Katy Perry Post

"You wear the look, don’t let the look wear you. It’s all about having self-confidence."

Katy Perry.
I really thought I had already created a fashion post on this superstar but apparently I was wrong. This was easily the hardest to do, I honestly started out with about forty favourite outfits as I was including her tour costumes-had to cut them out but still had about thirty!
(Not including music videos, tour costumes or photoshoots)
What I love about Katy is that she is often over the top but still remains stylish. She is all about colour, themes and glamour and is all for experimenting.
As with Rose McGowan I had to pick a top 14! Too much love for this style icon.

*In a cute and fun pastel Jeremy Scott ensemble at the MTV Europe awards 2011 with matching pink hair
*A powder blue, shimmering Elie Saab with matching hair, silver drop earrings and pink lips at Grammys 2012
*The polar opposite in this bright orange Alexander McQueen gown with sleek black hair and minimal accessories
*Having fun in an electric blue Jean-Charles de Castelbajac dress with funky eye detailing paired with yellow heels and the infamous Judith Lieber cupcake bag

*Wearing one of my favourite designers, Zuhair Murad, at the MTV Movie Awards. The glittery mini, yellow nails and blue hair are very Katy and I love it
*Rocking one of my favourite outfits in this black bondage style dress at 2010 Coachella, adore the sunglasses too
*Clearly a fan of powder pink but this time it was a stunning and glamorous Basil Soda gown for the Grammys 2009
*A delightfully playful peacock inspired Betsey Johnson creation with hot pink peep toes at Peoples Choice Awards 2011

*A stunning floral corset by The Blonds with a pink mini and azure heels at Victoria Secrets show paired with long black curls
*A trademark red Hervé Leger mini and studded Christian Louboutin heels for the David Letterman show
*Adore the victory rolls and the embellished pink and back bustier by Furne One at the American Music Awards, channeling her inner Judy Jetson!
*Out and about on a rainy day in a cute mini, black boots and gold Chloé handbag

*Took me a while to find this photo but I literally love this look. The American Apparel lace print dress, nude heels and leather jacket may be a tad club-ready for day but Katy rocks it
*Showing off her playful side in this oriental turquoise, lime and pink outfit designed by Atelier Versace. That pink hair is too dreamy

Fashion: Pringle of Scotland Resort 2014

Pringle of Scotland Women's Resort 2014
For their 2014 Resort collection Pringle of Scotland have taken the company’s Scottish heritage and mixed it up with fresh colours and revised the iconic patterns to create a modern yet elegant line.
As one of the oldest name in British fashion, especially in regards to knitwear, Pringle has been creating twinsets and cashmere sweaters since the 1970s so it is fair to say that they most certainly know their stuff. As we take a sneak peek at their 2014 Resort line it is clear to see that Pringle of Scotland are still at the top of their game.

The collection is a refreshing mix of elegant shapes; slash neck tops, pleated dresses and knee-length skirts infused with a cool palette which embraces the British summer life.
From the lemonade inspired yellow, ice-cream like pinks and nautical clash of cream and navy Pringle have used quintessentially British Summer colours on a canvas of trademark Pringle of Scotland designs.
Although many of the shapes are classic and the colours add a refreshing edge it is the intricate detailing of pleats, kilting and the soft knitwear which makes these articles characteristically Pringle of Scotland.

Whether a skirt has strict geometric kilting and a jumper has the sharp Argyle pattern or a t-shirt is woven and a dress casually pleated all the pieces are trademark Pringle of Scotland designs and you won’t find knitwear at such a high quality anywhere else.
Suitable for a summer picnic, cover up for a spring evening, a winter warmer or n autumn knit, Pringle of Scotland remains consistently chic and stylish and is will always be a much-need staple.

Fashion: Bambi and Manson & True Religion

Denim Dream Team; Bambi and Manson collaborate with True Religion

Two of the most popular names in denim are collaborating to create the ultimate collection of denim wear ready for summer 2013.
True Religion is an American denim brand set up in 2002 by Jeffrey Lubell and has steadily become one of the most successful jean companies out there. The fashion label is well known for creating stand out denim staples which often feature over-sized stitching and contrasting pockets. They will be pairing up with UK born Bambi and Manson, run by couple Polly O’Connell and Jim Cubitt, the BAM name was created when Polly became fed up of searching for the perfect pair of denim shorts and decided to create her own!
The duo state that ‘Bambi’ stands for the cute side and is all about delightful frills and flirty floral prints whereas Manson is the edgier half with a dash of leather, the odd stud and punk inspired rips and tears.
So what can we expect when the UK meets the US? True Religion are all about the perfect fit and timeless pieces whereas Bambi and Manson consistently bring an element of edge and eclectic style to their designs. Combined you are sure to have the perfect mix of classic cuts and on-trend styling.
The collection will be made up of 50 pieces and will include shorts, jeans, jackets, vests and even a children’s range. The designers state the inspiration for this line is the LA girl, 80s surfer chic, bohemia and rock n roll so you are sure to find numerous garments which want to make your own.

The selection will be available from Selfridges and although prices and designs are yet to be release these two denim houses never fail to deliver so we expect great things.

Fashion: Critics Choice & Tony Awards 2013

I suppose this is a bit of a master post, there have been a few red carpet events this week or so and this is a fashion overview or the Tonys and the Critics Choice.
As I have combined the two events there is a top 16. A mixture of full on floor sweeping gowns and glamorous yet chic ensembles.

*Anna Kendrick wore a sapphire blue Donna Karen Atelier gown, I love this colour on her. Although its a little dark for the month of June she wears it so well its hard to knock it.
*Sienna Miller in a peach, strapless Burberry dress with nude pumps and a floral headband. I'm a little hesitant about the length and the dark lips but I dig the nude shoes, dress style and her hair is cute.
*Scarlett Johansson looked vampy and chic in Saint Laurent, some people hated this look but I think she looks fabulous. Great legs too.

*Laura Benati wore an eye catching bright azure blue dress designed by Randi Rahm. Love the ribbon detailing and the deep V plus the colour goes well with her chocolate brown waves
*Jane Krakowski was stunning in a sparkling silver full length dress by Escada. This entire look is very 'frosty' and I adore it! Sleek up do and glittering clutch completed the outfit.
*Megan Hilty wore a modern fairytale like dress by one of my favourites; Badgley Mischka. I am in love with everything about this dress however I'm not a fan of the quiff.

*Regina King looked hot in a bright orange sparkling mini by Oday Shakar. I love the clashing green nails and nude pumps too. Simple make up and hair kept focus on the outfit.
*Monica Potter wore a fuchsia dress by Nicole Miller which made her pale skin glow, I love this colour so much. She truly showed pale hair and skin can work with a bright colour.
*Maria Menounos wore a teal Marchesa dress with a bouffant half up hairstyle. I love the statement collar on the dress and it also happens to be one of my favourite colours; stunning.
*Sigourney Weaver wore a one shouldered Michael Kors gown in a radiant cobalt blue colour and a gold clutch by the same designer. Love the Grecian feel of the blue and metallic and the dress fits like a glove.
*Shalita Grant in a black Theia Fall 2012 gown with some serious sparkling embellishments. Bright pink lips and a messy up do completed the styling.
*Sally Fields always looks so glamorous and this forest green Giorgio Armani simply proves my point. Love the embellished and satin bodice and simple hair with smokey eyes.
*Elisabeth Moss wore a deep dusty pink RED Valentino dress which I think matches her blonde hair and rosy tone in a cute way (apparently blondes and pink mixes well.) I also adore the heels!
*Aubrey O Plaza wore a simple shift Roland Mouret dress with matching stilettos and made the outfit monochrome with a black clutch.
*Diane Kruger makes a return to my best dressed list in a black Nina Ricci dress which suits the actress down to a T she paired with blood red heels, lips and Hollywood waves.

Life: May Round Up

So its the second week in June and I'm only just doing Monthly round up. I feel that a months is too much to cram into one post, do you know what I mean?
Anyway, I think one of the reasons I have been putting this off is because I have now been without a full time role for 6 months :( I guess the perfect job just isn't out there :(
Anyway, I came back from Devon after seeing Mitch on 1st May, I was so tired I slept for over ten hours that night! I spoke to Mitch and he ended up buying the blue Supra trainers-such a bad influence...He also got his second tattoo, the superman logo :D
I headed up to the Midlands with my sister Sarah and my two nieces, Lily and Tallulah to see my mum and my little sister Immy for her birthday. I bought her an Olly Murs pillow, a duvet set and made her Olly Murs cupcakes (she is a tad obsessed.) We ate yum food-as always-and I made awesome fruity cocktails! Non-alcoholic for the girls obviously. We watched Pitch Perfect which was a cute, girly film and made some cookies and just generally had family fun!
I spoke to my Grandma and hadn't done for ages! It was great to hear from her, she loves writing too and maybe wants me to do a novel of her life, no pressure then! She told me about a reality show she was on back in the day too-have to look into that.
I'm having to go to the job centre again :( which is very depressing but they are taking ages with my application so I have nada money, its less than ideal.
My best bud, Keyla, decided that is having a DISNEY THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY. Uh-mazing! It's not till August but we always start planning early :D I'm going as Belle-in case you couldn't guess.
I didn't get any of the jobs/interviews from last month. I did have a few interviews this month but nothing successful. Just have to keep my head up.
I went to watch my nephew, Jack, play basketball. It was ace. Obviously, he's related to me-joking! Seriously though, he's pretty good. I picked my nieces up from school too, I see Sarah at least once a week which is amazing :) I went so many years not seeing her its so much fun to hang out. I went to the cinema to see Epic with Sarah, Lily and Tallulah too. It was a pretty decent animation. We baked delicious cookies and played on the trampoline too, it was such a sunny day we fell asleep in the garden. Woops.
My dad took me and my sister, Bryz, to the cinema to see Star Trek: Into Darkness, was AWESOME!!!
I did have some positive news in the form of Ollie & Nic, after doing an article on them they asked for me to become part of their affiliate program!! So excited and proud to be connected to such a fabulous accessories company, check them out by clicking link to the left. I've also had some interest from Phase Eight and Spartoo as well, I am a lucky one!
My sister Amber and her boyfriend Denning came down for the day as my dad took us to watch Brentford play Yeovil at Wembley. We were supporting Brentford (my dads team) and we unfortunately was so much fun. I don't follow football avidly but it was a great day out and I loved seeing my sister.
In other news I started watching The Vampire Diaries as I have, slowly but surely, ran out of TV shows! When I finally find a job I won't have any time to watch them. Anyway my sister Amber and Bryz have been going on about it for ages so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I have watched all four series in a month....yep...I'm about to watch the series finale this week. TOO.MUCH.FREE.TIME.
Anyway, Summer officially starts next month and if I don't get a job soon I don't know what I'll do!

Life: June Loves 2013

I didn't know that Victoria's Secret had a beauty line! I also didn't realize how truly stunning the underwear and nightwear is! Just spent way too long playing the "What would I buy if I was a millionaire?" game. It was fun.
