Fashion: Best Dressed November 2012

November already!! Where has this year gone? Christmas soon!!
You can really tell that people are getting aboard the colours of Autumn and Winter as there was no sunshine yellow or bright orange this month. Blue in every shade from aqua to navy was popular along with other dark colours such as purple, black and grey.

*Selena Gomez at the Unicef Snowflake ball in a Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2004 dress in a stunning navy shade with gold detailing
*Diane Kruger was stylish as she mixed an old school glamour hairstyle with a chic navy blue playsuit by Jason Wu at Jaeger boutique in Paris
*Jennifer Lawrence in a tight fitted dove grey mini by Alexander Wang and adorable Alexandre Birman cut out heels on Jay Leno
*Rita Ora at the British Fashion awards in a show stopping metallic aqua Vivienne Westwood (you can very much tell) looking extremely glam-my favourite look to date
*Katy Perry in a Naeem Khan dress as she also attend the Unicef Snowflake ball (also in a deep shade of blue) and Lorraien Schwartz jewels
*Lin Chi-Ling stunned in a beautiful white gown from Atelier Versace (a favourite of mine) and kept her hair and make up simple yet classic at the Golden Horse awards

*Begrudgingly I add Miranda Kerr to this list is smart but casual in red Manalo Blahnik pumps and matching cardigan with black separates.
*I surprise myself be loving this clash of fuschia and black Dior outfit worn by Ruth Wilson at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards
*Kate Mara was another in a Dior this time a LBD with nude accessories at Kimberley Snyders Glow Bio in Hollywood
*Melissa George rocking her brunette locks in a minimal but stunning navy strapless dress by Armani at the International Emmy Awards
*Kim Kardashian in her loyal Casadei pumps and a gorgeous Sally Lapointe peplum dress as she accepted the keys to North Miami
*Bérénice Marlohe makes another appearance on this list in a deep purple J Mendel dress at the Sydney premiere of Skyfall, the gown was a beautiful mix of chiffon, floral applique and sequins

As always I had a struggle choosing my favourite but I must take my hat off to Lin Chi-Ling. I love this Atelier Versace line and she looks absolutely flawless, I have never spotted her before but as always will now keep my eyes peeled for her in the future.

Beauty: Kardashians and Katy Perry

My nails colour for this weekend is once again a mix from two of my favourite celebrities; Rainbow in the Skylie by Kardashian Kolor and Teenage Dream by Katy Perry on top of The One That Got Away also by Katy Perry, both are O.P.I

The shade I used as a base is a deep pink with a metallic edge, two layers was required to offer the strong colouring. I then put on the pale pink sparkling colour which didn't quite seem enough so I then added the multi-colour sparkle on top of that.
The Katy Perry glitter has small pieces of shimmer in, almost micro-glitter like silver particles whereas the Kardashian nail polish has dazzling multi-shades of glitter; green, pink, red, gold in much larger portions.

Life: Retweet!

Rose McGowan retweeted/replied to one of my tweets, I just had to make it public, for me its kind of a big deal....

Life: Blog 3

If you are into fashion/beauty/ lifestyle or anything remotely girly I will be pretty surprised if you haven't come across this blog before!

Its one of the first blogs I visited when I started blogging. Its run by a style columnist, Anna James, who has worked with some sensational people and companies from The Hills fashion and beauty starlet Lauren Conrad to worldwide famous women magazine Glamour.

Even if you don't find her appealing in regards to fashion or lifestyle Anna still offers inspiration for colour, layout and themes.

Check it

Fashion: Icon- The Rose McGowan Post

"I own about 150 pairs of shoes. I love Jimmy Choo and Manolo heels."
Rose McGowan
I contemplated going for Jennifer Lawrence but I think she has so much more to offer and with the Hunger Games premieres/junkets etc coming in 2012 it's a bit early for her.
So we have had Lauren Conrad, Ashley Tisdale, Blake Lively, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian and I have now decided to go for Rose McGowan.
A potentially random choice but I love her as an actress, inspiration and as a icon. Rose oozes old school glamour and you shall notice that most of these outfits are red carpet purely because she is so dazzling and always looking gloriously fabulous.
(I very much cheated by the way and chose 14 outfits as she has far too many wonderful clothes!)
*In a Hervé L. Leroux turquoise dress with plunging neckline at 2011 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles
*Classic chic in a blazer, skinnies and purple tasseled Christian Louboutin boots as she ran errnads in L.A
*Dominatrix meets girly in this black leather Versace dress with metallic and pink accessories at 2011 MTV Music Video Awards
*She dazzled in a this olive green Reema Acra dress for the 40th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin’s honorary Academy Award

*Looking tanned and tantalizing in a green Reem Acra cocktail dress and Briatwood heels as she attended the Art of Elysium's second annual Genesis event in 2010
*Showing that pink really is her colour in this silky smooth Issa dress at the 2011 SAG awards
*She looked like a sparkling superstar in this ocean themed Blumarine gown at the LA premiere of Conan the Barbarian
*Absolutely love the star print and chic shape and fit of this Dolce and Gabbana dress at the 2011 VHA Do something Awards

*A glittering vision in a pale aqua cut out gown by Elie Saab at Cinema Against Aids 2007 in aid of amfAR
*One of my super favourites in this gorgeous pink Monique Lhuillier dress and to die for purple peep toes
*In a cute black dress by  Marc Jacobs with blood red heels as the host of 3rd Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York 2012
*Rocking and black and white printed Hervé L. Leroux mini dress with opaque tights and black heels
*She looked ready for the Christmas season in this red velvet mini dress by Dolce and Gabbana
*Looking like an angelic goddess in a long white dress by Blumarine at Warner Bros and InStyle Golden Globes awards party

Also can we just take the time to reminisce when Rose retweeted this post on Twitter? :D

Life: Thanksgiving

So as I'm British I don't celebrate Thanksgiving which sucks!!
I know we should really be thankful for everyday we have and we shouldn't need a specific day to make a statement but still.
This is just a little (cheesy) post to say I am grateful for having the worlds most fabulous friends and family.
Because we all know family means no one gets left behind :)

Fashion: AMA Awards

The American Music Awards was just the other day and there was most certainly a running theme. Some people opted for brights and lace but the majority wore blush, nude and pale shades with added shimmer and sparkle. I love this colouring and throwing in deeper and darker hues is a striking style.

Kelly Rowland wore a mosaic styled bodycon dress designed by Naeem Khan and matched with gold sandals she looked like a modern Grecian goddess
Carrie Underwood in an extremely royal purple Abed Mahfouz lace dress with added shimmer and a gold box clutch
Hayden Panettiere in a simple yet sparkling silver dress with pretty dusty pink satin heels

Taylor Swift wore a cute nude and gold mini dress by Zuhair Murad and classic Jimmy Choo sandals
Ginnifer Goodwin looked as sweet as sugar in a pale pink and silver dress also with Jimmy Choos. I love the classic Jimmy Choo metallics they are so timeless
Ke$ha is truly starting to look fabulous at these events, the nude lace dress and black platform heels are an eye-catching combination, also adores her timeless glamour hair

Carly Rae Jepsen also on the blush bandwagon. In a pale pink glitter dress with a plunging neckline designed by Gomez Garcia and an Edie Parker clutch
Lucy Hale stood out however in a black Elizabeth and James dress with a silver LuLu Guinness clutch, I think she looks fabulous but I don't like the red heels much*Elisha Cuthbert in a full length strapless gold dress from the Edition by Georges Chakra range and simple make up completed the chic look

I really loved everyone at this event and I had a tricky time choosing between two for best dressed; Ke$ha and Carrie Underwood. I've not seen Ms Underwood at many events but the high neck and lace matched with the purple modernizes a Victorian style dress. But I must confirm Ke$ha as best dressed. The make up and heels were dark and complimented her pale and primed hair and dress.

Fashion: October Best Dressed 2012

It feels like so long since I compiled one of these lists of course this October one is being created as I only just have a computer to use! I forget how long it really does take- but of course worth it.
I know I have been saying this since September but you can still see those grappling onto the colour and prints of Summer- having said that LC's crisp orange is not unlike the Autumn leaves falling. Others are picking metallics and rich shades which are echoing the dark nights and glam parties which lay ahead.

  • AnnaSophia Robb in a modern and chic gold and black peplum dress by Emilio Pucci and black Sergio Rossi pumps at The Carrie Diaries premiere
  • Liz Hurley in a very sassy yet age appropriate pink wrap dress by Issa in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month
  • Lauren Conrad was faultless at every stop on this book tour. My favourite was this bright orange Harlyn dress and nude Brian Atwood pumps combo
  • Kim Kardashian looking stunning in all black with gold Christian Louboutin heels and a Birkin bag as she filmed in Miami
  • Halle Berry attending the Cloud Atlas Hollywood premiere in a Dolce and Gabbana dress with Versace shoes
  • Emmy Rossum back on my list again in a purple shirt with Ralph Lauren shoes and handbag whilst rocking it in Beverly Hills
  • Abbie Cornish looked gorgeous in Roland Mouret- this girl never fails to impress- at the screening of 7 Psychopaths
  • Kate Hudson in the wonder that is Prabal Gurung, a gorgeous red dress by the designer at the amFar Awards
  • Krysten Ritter in her go to designer Reem Acra, she rocked a glorious black and silver glitter cut out dress at the New York Premiere of  'Don't Trust The B- In Apt 23 Premiere'
  • Rita Ora is another celebrity who has a favourite colour; white. Here the Brit wore a beautiful Emilio Pucci dress at annual Bergdorf Goodman
  • Nina Dobrev seems to be a fan of blue and lace, I can see why. She looked deliciously eye catching in this Vera Wang creation and Jimmy Choos at Elles Women for Hollywood Event
  • Nicole Scherzinger on The X Factor in a sheer and metallic Alpana & Neeraj dress with black Topshop 'Unique' heels
My favourite out of all of this is Halle Berry I love the length, shape and metallic shading. It puts me in the party mood and would look superb for a New Years Eve event. I love the matte grey shoes too and the silver make up, great look and styling, J'adore.

Life: October 2012 Round Up

I have only just got my new laptop so I can now catch up on all I've been missing online! My sister does have a notebook laptop which I had been working on a little but it was hard work!
So honestly this month was a little bit of a blur.
I started out getting a new tattoo, my best friend Michaela was moving to Birmingham this month and we both wanted to get another tattoo together. She opted for a crown and I decided to show all my love for fairytales and have 'Beauty Lies Within' printed at the top of my back. It actually didn't hurt too bad just the part on the spine. Ouchy!
That weekend Mitch-the boyfriend- started his masters in screenwriting and so I decided to visit him in Wales, its a part time course but I think he will really enjoy it. I spent the majority of Saturday with his mum and then we had Indian take away we went to go see Looper (check out quick review.)
Mitch had his driving test and he passed! YAY! Best drivers past second time of course, so proud of him :) He has also decided to grow a beard, LOL, it suits him though- of course.
October also seemed to be the month all TV shows returned; 90210, Gossip Girl, Arrow, Sons of Anarchy, Supernatural, Once Upon A Time and Revenge. So I have a great deal of programs to keep up with, I don't know why they all hit us at once! They also had the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special which was amazing but so scary!
Talking of Halloween I didn't do anything so unbelievably gutted, my favourite holiday and I had just moved to London so was far too busy, I am already looking at costumes for next year.
Around the middle of October was when we started packing and sorting out the house- it was so much effort. I've lived in over 20 houses and every time the move is always so tedious and never gets any easier.
20th October was the date I went to see Disney on Ice!!! It was amazing!! So magical. We were the only people who didn't have children with us but who cares? It was amazing, I definitely want to go again, such an awesome present from Mitch.
My last day at work was 23rd and I was actually quite sad to say goodbye to everyone, after two years and working in numerous departments I think that I met some lovely people. My leaving fits were just perfect too. They bought me Disney princess socks and magnets  bottle of wine, box of chocolates and a personalized Beauty and the Beast towel with my name on. Glorious!
The 25th was the final film quiz for me and my sisters before we headed to the Big Smoke and we WON! BOOM! There was ten teams too and we managed to come out on top. So happy but will be gutted to not attend another one, team Quizzitch shall reign on. It was a fun night where we went for Indian then had some drinks and won some money which likely paid off our food.
I had my final pay day on 26th October which is pretty daunting as I am moving to London with a no job and no income. Eeek.
Finally I moved house on 28th October, the same day the clocks went back, how fitting. A new start and with this I am giving my blog a reboot.
I am hoping November will be all about new experiences :D
